Prachanda renews his call for unity among Maoist parties

KATHMANDU;- CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has appealed to the Maoist forces for reunion in the next context.
Addressing a programme organised by the party’s Liaison Coordination Special Province Committee here Saturday, the Maoist Chairman laid emphasis for reunion of partners of people’s war adding that all the leaders of Maoist forces have learnt specific lessons.
On the occasion, Prachanda revealed that talks for party unity with Netra Bikram Chand, Mohan Baidhya and Dr Baburam Bhattarai have already been initiated.
Saying that people and party cadres were on right track but not the leaders, Dahal stressed for unity among the Maoist forces for the cause of country and people. He also expressed the confidence that all communist parties would join hands together for new unity along with new knowledge.
“Now, we have to go to the people by self-realization,” he added.
Regarding the unity between the UML and Maoist Centre, Prachanda said that the unity did not last long due to KP Oli’s betrayal though the unity was forged by keeping the country and people in the centre.
During the event, the Maoist Centre Chairman urged the party leaders and cadres to integrate people and disseminate factual information to them by clearing the rumours spread by UML.
