    Prachanda promises senior posts to PLA commanders

    KATHMANDU: UCPN Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal has assured PLA commanders of representational status in the proposed Directorate in the Nepal Army.

    Prachanda assured the commanders during a meeting at his residence on Friday that party leadership will not inch off from its demand for representational and respectful status in the proposed Directorate.

    His assurance came after most of the commanders present at the meet claimed that the integration would be meaningless if it is not respectful.
    “ Though some political parties are creating hassles in concluding the integration process in a respectful manner, we will manage to make our way ahead,” PLA spokesperson Chandra Prakash Khanal quoted Prachanda as saying after the meeting.
