KATHMANDU:- CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said serious review would be made about the deteriorating position of the party that made mammoth success in the country’s political transformation in the past.
Addressing the inaugural session of the eighth general convention of the party that started on Sunday, the Maoist Chairman said his party would make a thorough review on its ideology, organisation, structure, working modality and working style of the party in the post-peace era.
He said that the part of self-review is huge in his political report prepared to submit in the general convention. “I have made review about myself and the fading Maoist movement as being its top leader”.
On the occasion, he said that there was nothing wrong in unifying the CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (UML) but the time has come to go for a review about the aborted move on the formation of the Communist Party of Nepal (NCP). After the ongoing general convention, he said his party wants to give a new vigour to the country and people not only to the Maoists.
Saying that he was working closely with different other political parties to provide relief to the poor people and meet their expectations for good-governance, Prachanda announced his readiness to move ahead beyond the ruling coalition.
On the occasion, the Maoist leader praised Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba as a leader who could take appropriate step if the nation so demands.
The closed session of the convention would begin from 11:00am tomorrow.
