Prachanda continues to give rosy promises to people; Some fringe parties likely to leave 42-party alliance


KATHMANDU: Although Nepali people have left believing the statement given by chairperson of UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda but he continues to make new commitments. Prachanda is also taken as a person of not abiding by his commitment and good at making rosy promises to the people.

While making such promises Prachanda claimed that his party would make prosperous and new Nepal if his party gets two third majority in the upcoming elections of the constituent assembly.

Prachanda, who reached his hometown Chitwan on Saturday after the announcement of the elections of the constituent assembly expressed his confidence that UCPN-Maoist would garner majority during the elections of the constituent assembly.

He also claimed that no force can check the UCPN-Maoist getting majority during the elections of the constituent assembly. He also claimed that the environment is in favor of them.

Addressing the same program vice-chairperson of the party Dr. Baburam Bhattarai claimed that as the party successfully conducted the people’s war there is a need of giving majority to the party in the upcoming elections of the constituent assembly.

Meanwhile, of the 42 agitating parties Federal Democratic Front led by Uprendra Yadav and Ashok Rai led Federal Socialists Party have decided to leave the alliance of 42 political parties of the government agreed to address their demands of proportional representation system. They claimed that they would take part in election if the government agrees for 60 percent seats through proportional representation system and 40 percent seats through direct election.

Federal Socialists Party also held discussion with the government and informed that they would take part in the election if their demand regarding proportional representation system was addressed. The 42 political parties have been preparing to announce further protest programs. A leader of the alliance informed that they are preparing to announce more strict protest programs to exert pressure to the leaders of major political parties and the government to fulfill their demands.
