UCPN (Maoist) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that the parties will be able to forge much-hyped national consensus by Monday.
Speaking with the media persons after meeting the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at latter’s residence Shital Niwas this morning, he informed that the meeting between the political parties are heading towards positive direction.
During the meeting with the President, he briefed the President about ongoing political negotiations between the parties. He also tried to assure the President that the parties will come up with a broader pact to forge national consensus within the deadline, an aide of the President said.
As the fourth deadline set by the President is going to expire tomorrow, the parties have intensified the consultations. The main ruling party Maoist and opposition party Nepali Congress are said to be closer to the deal on resolving various contentious issues.
