
KASKI: Pokhara Paltan and Kathmandu Goldens are vying in the opening match in the second edition of Pokhara Premier League (PPL) T-20 Cricket Tournament.
Although the tournament was scheduled to be inaugurated today, it was postponed till tomorrow for adverse weather. Managing Director at Kings Events Management Pvt Ltd, Chhumbi Lama, shared that all preparations including pitch, temporary parapet, player box and media centre were completed. The players from all six teams also arrived Pokhara, he added.
It is believed that the match being played for two weeks would help boost attraction towards cricket and make Pokhara known to world in terms of tourism promotion. The winner team will be awarded the cash prize of Rs 2.7 million while the first runner up Rs 1 million.
