Pokhara, Baglung tie up for tourism development


BAGLUNG: The famous lake city Pokhara and Baglung district are tying up for promoting tourism between them. Pokhara is a major tourist destination while Baglung is an area with vast tourism potentials in the western hills of the country.

Tourism entrepreneurs from both Pokhara and Baglung are preparing to establish sisterly relations between these places working in collaboration with each other for the development of tourism.

Under the planned tie-up, tourists coming to visit Pokhara would be encouraged to visit Baglung and Dhorpatan in Baglung district for at least a day or two, said Basanta Kumar Shrestha, president of the Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The tourism entrepreneurs also plan to operate tourist bus service from Pokhara to Baglung, besides upgrading the hotels and lodges in Baglung, expanding the home-stay service and developing trekking routes. RSS
