PM retaining post under compulsion

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that he has been forced to retain the post to avert the nation from entering further crisis.

Speaking at a program in Pokhara, the PM said that he will step down from the post immediately after political parties resolve disputed issues of the new constitution and come up with alternatives to resolve political impasse.

“I am ready to quit the post and I would like to announce my resignation from this very program, but I cannot walk away just like and this has victimised me,” said Bhattarai in his short speech.

On the occasion, the PM handed over the Late Palikhe Journalism Award to FNJ former President Bishnu Nishthuri.

The award entails a purse of 33 thousand, 3 hundred and 33 rupees and a certificate of appreciation.
