PM Oli directs NA to produce necessary goods and make Nepal self-reliant

KATHAMNDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the Nepal Army (NA) to produce necessary goods for it on its own use and make itself self-reliant.

PM Oli made such direction while addressing the second review meeting of development activities and projects run by the Defense Ministry.He praised the role NA played for the prevention and control of coronavirus and nature conservation, disaster management, infrastructures building and protection of historic forts. Prime Minister Oli also directed the NA to further utilize the NA Welfare Fund. He viewed NA had significant role on global peace keeping mission, thereby boosting Nepal’s image.

Also the Defense Minister, PM Oli urged NA to continue the programmes as from bunker to barrack and continue rastriya sewa dal to produce disciplined and honest citizen for the country. On the occasion, Chief of Army Staff, Purna Chandra Thapa, shared that most of the projects run by NA had satisfactory physical progress in the second review period.
