
KATHMANDU:- Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and main opposition CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli held discussions at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar this evening.
During the meeting, the US government’s MCC grant and other contemporary political issues were discussed, the PM’s Secretariat said.
The government has tabled the MCC compact in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday for the ratification process. The government has beefed up consultations with all political parties’ leaders to ratify the MCC from the parliament by February 28.
In the meeting today, Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka were present from the NC while Chairman Oli, Senior Vice-Chair Ishwar Pokharel, Vice Chair Bishnu Prasad Poudel and Assistant General Secretary Bishnu Rimal were also present.
