-

N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- The ruling Nepali Congress has decided the names of the ministers who will participate in the government on the basis of ruling alliance gentle agreement. It has been decided to become a minister in an informal discussion between Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and top leaders including Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel.

The Nepali Congress has seven ministers, including the prime minister, and one minister of state. At present, the Congress has Prime Minister Deuba, Home Minister Bal Krishna Khanna, Law Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Foreign Minister Dr Narayan Khadka and Minister of State for Health Umesh Shrestha.

Now there will be three ministers from the Congress. Accordingly, two ministers from the Poudel group and one from the Sitaula group are becoming ministers. According to Nepali Congress sources, Dilendra Prasad Badu and Dr Minendra Rijal will become ministers from the Ram Chandra Poudel group. Rijal also has the support of General Minister Dr. Shashank Koirala.

One of Bhimsen Das Pradhan and Umakanta Chaudhary from the Krishna Prasad Sitaula faction is set to become a minister. However, Sitaula did not name Prime Minister Deuba. According to the Congress leaders, it is almost certain that Chaudhary will become the minister as Pradhan has been a minister before. However, the ministry of those who will become ministers from the Congress has not been decided yet. The ministry will be decided only after discussions with the parties affiliated to the alliance.

It has not been decided yet whether to keep Minister of State for Health Umesh Shrestha in Deuba’s favor. If Shrestha is not promoted and Pushpa Bhusal has to be made the Minister of State, he will be given an opportunity. Minister of State Shrestha, on the other hand, evaluates his work and wants to be promoted to minister. Earlier, Karki, Khadka and Minister of Mines have been appointed from Deuba’s side.

Though the cabinet will be expanded today after the repeal of the ordinance on political parties, it fell on Tuesday and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal was unwell and JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav left Kathmandu.
