Picture exhibition to promote tourism in Sindhuli


KATHMANDU: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) will organise the ‘Sindhuli in pictures’ exhibition from Friday as part of its regular ‘Photo Nepal’ exhibition.
The week-long exhibition is co-organised by the Prosperous Sindhuli Campaign to boost tourism in the district.
As per the organizers, the exhibition will feature 35 photos of Sindhuli’s people and their lives along with the photos of its historical sites Sindhuligadhi and Hariharpurgadhi and its indigenous produce tangerine. The exhibition will also showcase beautiful pictures of the district’s iconic B.P. Highway.
The Prosperous Sindhuli Campaign stated that it had called on photographers and the local people of the district to submit pictures. It is collecting photogrpahs through its social media page.
Lilanath Ghimire, coordinator of the campaign, said that the objective of the exhibition was to showcase the beauty of Sindhuli to the general population and encourage them to visit the district.
He also informed that the pictures would be showcased in various towns and villages of Sindhuli after their exhibition at NTB.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a discussion session about the district.
Sindhuligadhi of the district is also among the 100 tourist destinations declared by the government for the upcoming Visit Nepal 2020.
