Pfizer vaccine will be distributed to chronically ill people above 12 years of age from today


KATHMANDU:- Pfizer vaccine against Covid 19 will be distributed in Nepal for chronic patients above 12 years of age from today. The vaccine was purchased by the government from the United States. The vaccine will be available to people over the age of 12 with eight types of chronic diseases.

Long-term heart patients undergoing surgery or taking medication, long-term kidney problems with kidney transplantation, dialysis, taking medication, having been diagnosed with any type of cancer, undergoing surgery and treatment, long-term breast problems with prescription medication,People who have had an organ transplant, have had high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time and are being treated under a doctor’s supervision, and whose immune system is weakened for any reason, can be vaccinated.

Also, people with cerebral palsy and cerebrovascular disease will be vaccinated with Pfizer. Anyone who has been vaccinated against Covid 19 and other chronic patients under 12 years of age should not be vaccinated. The vaccination will continue till November 20. The government has also designated 24 hospitals across the country for vaccination.

 

Pfizer vaccines will not be available at vaccination centers previously vaccinated against covid. When you go to get vaccinated, you will have to take the parts related to the treatment of chronic disease recommended by the hospital or doctor. The second dose of the vaccine can be given from December 13 to 17.
