PCR testing at community level in Nepal’s Tanahu District

DAMAULI: PCR testing has been undertaken in different areas of Tanahun district to identify the status of corona infection at the community level.

According to the District Health Office, the testing was carried out in the offices marked with the frequent flow of service recipients, garage workshops, banks and financial institutions, the office of the security personnel, and salons, among others. Office In-charge Shanker Babu Adhikari informed 81 people had tested negative for the virus as per the report received on Sunday.

“We had arranged PCR test of people on a sampling basis to spell out the status of coronavirus transmission at the community level”, he further said.
