Passenger bus accident kills 2, injures 15


PARSA: Two people died and more than 15 others were injured when a passenger bus overturned at Dumarwana-7 of Bara on the East-west highway on Saturday.

The deceased have not yet been identified, the Area Police Office, Simra said.

The bus (Ba.2Kha.9763) was heading towards Sarlahi from Kathmandu when its front left wheel burst off, leaving the bus uncontrolled.

One passenger died on the way to the hospital while the second died during treatment at the Narayani Sub-regional Hospital, Birgunj, police said.

Of the injured, the condition of two is reported to be critical. The injured are undergoing treatment at the sub-regional hospital and the NIMS hospital, Simra. RSS
