One arrested for swindling 3.3 million rupees in Putalibazaar, Syangja
SYANGJA: Sunita Thapa, a resident of Putalibazaar municipality, has been arrested on the charge of cheating different individuals in the pretext of selling land. She was arrested after 15 people filed a complaint against her of fraud.
Thapa reportedly took money from the victims for selling her house and land at Ambote in ward no. 3 of the municipality. Thapa and her husband Hum Bahadur have been charged of taking money in advance from different persons.
Thapa has been remanded to judicial custody for seven days for further investigation, according to spokesperson of District Police Office, Syangja Nabin Krishna Bhandari. The Thapa couple has been charged by the complainants of taking Rs. 3.33 million from them.
