NSU enforces chakkajam


KATHMANDU:
The vehicular movement of the Kathmandu in front of various government colleges was disrupted on Wednesday morning due to the chakkajam called by Nepal Students Union (NSU), sister organization of main opposition party Nepali Congress, to protest the government’s announcement of election date and unveiling the budget unilaterally.
The NSU organized chakkajam from 9:00 am at different colleges including Nepal Humanities College, Exhibition Road, Patan Multiple Campus, and Kirtipur-based Tribhuvan University, among others.
NSU Spokesperson UP Lamichhane informed that a protest rally will be organized in Kathmandu on Thursday demanding the Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai to step down immediately for paving the way to form the national consensus government.
