KAWASOTI: The Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRN-A), Italy is to provide support in course of performing last rites of Durga Bhattarai of Kolhuwa-9, Nawalparasi, who breathed his last in Italy while undergoing treatment.
The NRN-A, Italy has sent a letter to support in the process of either sending the dead body to Nepal or calling his kin to Italy from Nepal for cremation, said Durga’s brother Shalikram Bhattarai.
He had reached Italy on April this year in course of foreign employment. Bhattarai, who was admitted to hospital after suffering from minor fever, died on June 28.
He was popular as a duet folk singer in Nepal. He had already served as the Vice-chairperson of Folk and Duet Songs Academy Valley Coordination Committee, said Academy’s central member Hari Neupane.
He had completed his Master’s Degree in English Literature. RSS
