No-one will be allowed to encroach our land: Prime Minister Oli


KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed determination not to allow anyone to encroach upon Nepal’s territory. At a gathering organised by National Youth Council, Nepal here on Sunday, Prime Minister Oli said that the government was capable to protect border of the country.
He said that all political parties were united over the issue to take back the encroached land and to protect the country’s borders, which, he said disseminated a message of unity as well.
The Prime Minister also expressed gratitude to the people for providing strong support to the government regarding taking back the land encroached by India. “The government will not allow anybody to encroach even one inch of its land. The neighbouring country should take its army back from our territory,” he said.
Recalling that the Indian Government was suggested to correct the map, PM Oli said that it was important to take back the land rather than correcting the map. “There is support of all to the government for nationality and national integrity. I want to thank all for their strong support to the government. However, carrying out indecent activities in the name of patriotism is not right. We will resolve the problems through diplomatic channel,” the Prime Minister said.
He further said that although time was spent to set the legal founding by ending the transition, the government has set a new foundation of development.
Stressing that the incumbent government has been moving ahead in a speedy manner in production growth and infrastructure development, the Prime Minister said, “Though we took a long time to make legal infrastructure, we have become successful to make 7.1 per cent economic growth rate and have been reducing trade deficit by increasing export.
He talked about various characteristics of socialism and capitalism and directed the member of Youth Council Nepal to adopt positivity and creativity in thinking and in work.
