CPN (UML) Chairperson Jhalanath Khanal has said the opposition parties wouldn’t announce the name of Prime Minister candidate until Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai steps down.
Khanal also accused the PM Dr Bhattarai as a main obstacle for the national consensus building process. He also ruled out the possibility of consensus until Dr Bhattarai remains in power. Speaking at a program of Reporters Club at his own residence in Dallu Kathmandu on Sunday, Khanal argued that the government which had termed President’s call as unconstitutional is itself an unconstitutional government.
Asked by the reporters about his comment on President’s recent remark on giving the incumbent government a shape of national consensus government and Indian leader Karan Singh’s visit, he said nothing can be expected if the leaders have changed their views following the meeting with Indian leader.
