Newly appointed minister Thapa takes oath of office and secrecy


KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sunday administered oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa amidst a programme.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chairperson of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and other high-ranking officials were present at the programme organised at Sheetal Niwas.
Prime Minister Oli reappointed Thapa to the post on Sunday after he was relieved of the post of the minister automatically as he was not the National Assembly member after switching to an another political party. Meanwhile, newly appointed Minister Thapa assumed his office this evening. Senior officials at the Ministry including Home Secretary and others were present on the occasion.
