New Maoist and Congress join hands against govt


KATHMANDU: Senior leadership of newly formed CPN Maoist and Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to work together for overthrowing the government and to avert it from introducing full budget.

Senior leaders from both parties reached such an agreement after a half-an-hour long meeting held at NC President Sushil Koirala’s residence.

Both sides agreed to stop the caretaker government from introducing the budget and to launch join programs if it rolls out the budget forcefully.

Along with that both parties have decided to discuss the suitable candidate for leading national consensus government only after toppling the government informed sources near Koirala.

The meeting was participated by Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya, General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal, Secretary Dev Prasad Gurung.
