
KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Constituent Assembly (CA) Subas Chandra Nembang administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed CA members, on Sunday. At a function organised in Singha Durbar today, Nembang sworn in the 16 lawmakers appointed by the government on Friday. The government on Friday had appointed 17 new members of the constitution writing body in a bid to give a full shape to the 601-member CA. Lawmaker Ganesh Thapa was absent in the ceremony. It has been learnt that he is in Sri Lanka currently. The government is yet to nominate nine members of the Assembly.
