NEPSE Index Closes In Red With 1.29 Points Loss, Marked At 1,381.37 Points
N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange index has decreased by 1.29 points to close at 1,381.37 points. Likewise, the sensitive index has drops by 0.63 points to stand at 289.55 points. Over 2,341,746 shares of 186 companies were traded with total turnover of Rs 920,997,056 today.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded today, shares of six subgroups rose while shares of six subgroups declined. Development Bank increased by 10.4 points, Manufacturing/processing increased by 3.59 points, Hotels by 33.84 points, Finance by 4.03 points, Non Life Insurance by 31.87 points and Life Insurance by 50.8 points. Likewise, Banking declined by 3.93 points, Trade by 9.24 points, Hydropower by 4.13 points, Others by 3.06 points, Microfinance by 1.56 points and Collective Investment Funds by 0.09 points.
Today, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 117.85 million. Followed by Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) with the turnover of Rs. 84.43 million, NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) of Rs. 38.97 million and NMB Bank Limited (NMB) of Rs. 36.01 million.
Top gainers in the market were Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) with increase by 10 percent, Ajod Insurance Limited (AIL) by 9.82 percent and Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) by 9.55 percent.
Likewise, Mahila Sahayatra Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MSMBS) lost the most by 6.06 percent. Followed by Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) by 5.68 percent and Kalika Power Company Limited (KPCL) by 5.36 percent.
