NEPSE Drops By 42.78 Points, Total Turnover Rs 1.84 Billion
N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index has declined by double digits today. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index fell by 42.78 points to close at 1,396.28 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index fell by 8.18 points to 292.77 points.
According to the Nepal stock exchange, a total of 4,661,608 shares of 189 companies were traded today, with total turnover of Rs 1.84 billion. Shares of all 12 subgroups traded today have declined. Banking fell by 41.48 points, Trade by 16.70 points, Hotel by 71.43 points, Development Bank by 54.40 points, Hydropower by 14.41 points, Finance by 14.25 points, Non-Life Insurance by 231.66 points, Manufacturing by 66.62 points, Others by 12.26 points, Life Insurance by 283.20 points and collective investment funds decreased by 0.07 points.
Nepal Reinsurance Company (NRIC) again topped the list in terms of turnover, with total turnover of Rs. 226.52 million. Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance Company’s (NLIC) turnover Rs. 147.68 million, NMB Bank’s (NMB) turnover Rs. 84.17 million, Himalayan Distillery Limited’s (HDL) turnover Rs 73.51 million and NIC Asia Bank’s (NICA) turnover Rs. 69.93 million.
Today’s top gainer is Aarambha Chautari Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ACLBSL) gain by 9.98 percent. Similarly, investors in Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) gained 9.63 percent, Chhyangdi Hydropower Company Limited (CHL) gained 9.41 percent and Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL)
gained 9.43 percent.
Investors in Joshi Hydropower Development Company Limited (JOSHI) have lost the most by 9.72 percent. Similarly, Oriental Hotel Limited (OHL) lost 7.88 percent, Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) lost 7.84 percent and Khani Khola Hydropower Company Limited (KKHC) lost 7.27 percent.
