Nepal’s Prince Dahal advances to semi-final of BTY Junior International Challenge


KATHMANDU: Nepal’s youth badminton player Prince Dahal has been qualified for the semifinal of the Yonex- Singha- Roza BTY International Badminton Challenge (Boy’s U-17) 2019 going on in Bangkok of Thailand.
Prince defeated his Sri Lankan rival in two straight sets in the quarter-final match held today, making his headway towards the semi. He is meeting an Indian player this evening in the semifinal, said his manager Kamlesh Nirauala from Thailand.
Prince is the winner of the title of ‘Dubai Junior International Series’ U-15 (boy’s category) hosted by the United Arab Emirates last year and this is the ever biggest success of Nepal in the international badminton tournament. He finished the recent eighth National Games held in State 5 with a bronze.
