
KATHMANDU: A national football team has left for Malaysia this evening to play in two separate international friendly matches to be held in Malaysia and Chinese Taipei.
The Nepal team will play against Malaysia on June 2 and against Chinese Taipei on June 6.
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) organized a farewell programme today to the team. ANFA chair Karma Chhiring Sherpa and secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Krishna Prasad Devkota bid farewell to the team.
The 23- member team is playing under the captaincy of Biraj Maharajn.
The team comprises Kiran Kumar Limbu, Bikesh Kuthu and Alen Neupane are goalkeepers, Biraj Maharjan, Ananta Tamanag, Saroj Dahal, Rajin Dhimal, Suman Aryal, Devendra Tamang, Ajit Bhandari and Rabi Silwal are defenders.
Similarly, Rohit Chanda, Bikram Lama, Santosh Tamang, Suman Bal, Rabi Paswan, Sujal Shrestha, Bishal Rai and Tej Tamang are midfielders. Abhishek Rijal, Anjan Bishta, Bimal Rana and Navyug Shertha are forwards.
