Nepal’s government doctors ends protest

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Government Doctors Association of Nepal (GODAN) on Sunday ended their protest that had taken place 10 days ago putting force various demands.
The agitation has been canceled for 15 days keeping in view professional duty and assurance by the government, said Dr Dipendra Pandey, president of GODAN. A gathering of doctors decided to end the protest until April 25, read a statement issued by the GODAN.
The GODAN has also given a 15 day’s ultimatum to address their demands or continue their protest.
Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population Mahendra Prasad Shrestha said the government was positive about GODAN’s demands.
