By Baba Thapa, VIENNA:- Nepali origin Santosh Bhatta has announced his candidacy for the post of councilor in the local elections of Germany.
Santosh Bhatta is set to run for the post of councilor (foreign advisor) in the local elections to be held in Hessen’s Frankfurt on March 14.
Bhatta is the first Nepali to run in the local elections in Germany.
Bhatta, who hails from Kuleshwor, Kathmandu, has been living in Germany for the past five years.
Bhatta, who is committed to serving different communities for international residency in Frankfurt, has registered his candidacy on behalf of immigrants.
Elections held every five years Even those without a German passport will be able to help in the election.
Expressing happiness that he has become a candidate representing the Nepali community for the first time, Bhatta has appealed to the Nepali community for help.
