Nepali Embassy in Korea felicitates Korean and Nepali people


SEOUL: Nepali Embassy in Korea has felicitated 109 persons including 37 Nepali and remaining Koreans for their support to bring peace torch to the South Korea from Lumbini to spread the message of peace.

They were felicitated amidst a function for supporting to bring the peace torch to Lumbini. The torch was brought here on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti on May 11. The torch was taken to Lotus Laltin Festival and 108 Buddhist monasteries of Korea.

One of the felicitated person, monk of Dosensa Monastry, Sanmukh Heja informed that the peace torch brought from Nepal has spread the message of peace among Korean nations. He also added that the torch helped to strengthen the relations between two countries.

Nepali Ambassador to Korea Kaman Singh Lama informed that the event helped to promote tourism potentials of Nepal and also helped to strengthen relations between both the countries. Coordinator of peace torch management committee Rudra Sharma presented financial record on the occasion. Of the 15.929 million Korean currency was collected on the occasion 15.060 million have been spent while 868 is still in balance.

The felicitated Nepali include Rudra Sharma, KP Sitoula, Binod Kunwar, Bhim Gurung, Raju Chhetri, Yam Khatri, Rajesh Lala, Santosh Thapa, Dhyan Rai, Rajkaji Gurung, Anil Gurung among others.
