Nepali Doctors around the world have tremendous potential to Combat the Pandemic

“Bringing doctor, nurses, and health professionals of Nepali origin together in one platform to deliberate on health issues of Nepali around the world is one of the missions of NRNA Health Committee,” said Dr. Sapkota.

LOS ANGELES:- Many Nepali doctors, nurses, and health professionals from around the world met recently over virtual platform and shared update on the management of corona virus pandemic.
“The network of global Nepali doctors have made remarkable achievements over few months and those include the creation of the Middle-East Nepali Health Team, Europe Nepali Health Team, organization of numerous webinars to make Nepali community aware on the weekly basis,” said Dr. Sanjeeb Sapkota, the chairperson of the Health Committee of NRNA.
“Bringing doctor, nurses, and health professionals of Nepali origin together in one platform to deliberate on health issues of Nepali around the world is one of the missions of NRNA Health Committee,” said Dr. Sapkota.
“NRNA is working with International Labor Organization (ILO) for the long term effective and safety of migrant workers, particularly in the middle east region,” said Dr. Puru Shrestha.
“The aim for the controlled repatriation is to provide comfort to the returnees and not to increase the rate of infection in Nepal,” said Dr. Kush Shrestha, the co-chair of the Health Committee of NRNA.
Other participants who shared opinion at the meeting were Dr. Uttam Gaulee the President of STAR Scholars Network, Ms. Aliza KC, a public health expert from Japan; Dr. Bhupesh Khadka, President of America Nepal Medical Foundation, Dr. Devi Basnet, health expert from South Korea. Mr. Suraj Dumre, President of NRN NCC Kenya, Dr. Bodha Subedi, lead of European Nepali Health Team from Poland, Dr. Nitesh Aryal, lead of Middle-East Health Team from Qatar, Dr. Alini Pokharel Subedi, member of High Commission on Corona Virus Pandemic from Poland, Mr. Satya Chaudhary, co-chair, Health Committee; Dr. Bhupendra Basnet, lead for ANMF-Nepal.
It was also known at the meeting that the annual global Nepali Health Conference has been planned during Sept 18-20 of this year and it will be held mostly via the virtual platform.
The network of Nepali doctors and health professional meet on regular basis to share updates, discuss issues and progress. This is the fifth meeting of the meeting.
