Nepali Congress run unilaterally and arbitrarily: Leader Singh


BIRATNAGAR: Central member of the Nepali Congress, Prakash Man Singh, has accused the party president of running the party unilaterally and arbitrarily. He asserted that the next general convention of the party would change the leadership.

Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Union Morang chapter here today, central member Singh further argued that the party was run against the party statute, policy and aspiration of cadres. NC has failed to gain people’s confidence, he blamed, adding that the party leadership would select best leadership from the coming general convention.

Moreover, central leader said it is because of the inaction of the party leadership that delayed convention of the sister organizations as Nepal Students Union.

On a different note, leader Singh said the nomination of judges for the Supreme Court and High Court was not fair and transparent. As the seniority criteria was ignored by the Judicial Council, the process was not fare, he added.

According to him, economic prosperity could be ensured if the private sector were taken into confidence.
