KATHMANDU: The main opposition Nepali Congress has registered an amendment proposal on the government’s policy and programme presented in the federal parliament on Friday.
NC Parliamentary Party has demanded replacement of the phrase ‘My Government’ from point 3 to 115 of the policy and programme unveiled by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on behalf of the government. The party ahs demanded to replace the term with ‘Nepal Government’.
According to NC whip Pushpa Bhusal, the party is of the view that the policy and programme has encroached upon the jurisdiction of the state and local governments aiming to weaken federalism and lacking the clear policy and programmes for good governance, development and prosperity.
The amendment proposals was registered by the lawmakers, Balkrishna Khand, Dr Minendra Rijal, Pushpa Bhusal, Athar Kamal Muslaman, Padam Nayrayan Chaudhary, Ram Bahadur Bista, Sanjaya Kumar Gautam, Man Bahadur Bishwakarma, Jipchhiring Lama, Dilendra Badu, Dila Sangraula, Divya Mani Bhanadari, Parbati DC Chaudhary, Gyan Kumari Chhantyal, Mahendra Kumari Limbu, Mina Subba, Rangamati Shahi, Biamla Nepali, Laxmi Pariyar, Sarwat Ara Khanam Halwani, Prakash Rasaili, Mina Pandey, Sujata Pariyar and Minakshi Jha.
