KATHMANDU: The main opposition party, Nepali Congress has expressed its reservation to the sudden ending of the ongoing session of the House of Representatives. The NC central working committee meeting today concluded that it was against democratic norms and values to shy away from the parliament.
The HoR meeting scheduled for tomorrow was set to discuss some pertinent issues but it was neglected, the CWC said, according to the NC chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.
On a different note, the NC had also demanded that the government develop and implement a special work plan to protect the lives of people from the increasing threat of Corona Virus. It decided to demand with the government to import sufficient number of COVID-19 vaccine and inoculate every citizen. The party has also appealed to one and all to follow the security protocol and observe caution to stay away from the Corona Virus.
The CWC also designated April 28 as the deadline for renewal of active member and entry of the new active membership in the computer software. The district reports on active membership renewal and distribution has to be submitted to the party’s central office by April 30. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba.
