Nepali Congress Central Working Committee meet discusses contemporary political issues


KATHMANDU: The central working committee (CWC) meeting of the Nepali Congress (NC) is taking place at the party central office in Sanepa.
The meeting summoned at 2:00 in the afternoon started six hours after at 8:00 pm. During the meeting, the leaders are holding discussions on party’s future strategy, it is said. Prior to this, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and other leaders had held informal talks in the afternoon about the party’s future course, NC spokesperson Bishow Prakash Sharma said. He informed that the leaders had a discussion about the alternative to the incumbent government.
Spokesperson Sharma shared that the discussion is being held on the dispute related to active members of the party, active membership to the news entrants from Rashtriya Prajatantra Party and alternative to the KP Oli-led government. Leaders of the party are still putting forth their opinion on the issues. NC is waiting the decision of the NCP Maoist Center and Janata Samajwadi Party for new power equation. The meeting chaired by President Deuba is continuous.
