Nepalgunj City sealed off to prevent coronavirus spread

the prohibitory order issued in the district is extended until August 11 midnight. Businesses and essential goods' shops can be operated in the prohibitory order issued areas, it is stated.

NEPALGUNJ: The District Administration Office, Banke, has sealed off the Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City from today midnight until August 11.

Chief District Officer of Banke Ram Bahadur Kurumbang said that the riskiest areas of the city were sealed off to enlarge the scope of swab collection and testing in view of the rising cases of coronavirus infection in the community-level. As decided, the sites from Ganeshman Chowk, Char Bahini Area, Banke Gaun, Ring Road, Naharpurwa to Bus Park, and Pushpalal Chowk have been sealed off and security personnel including the Nepal Army have been mobilized.

According to CDO Kurumbang, human mobility has been restricted and only essential services including ambulance service, fire engines, and dead body carriers would come into operation. Likewise, the prohibitory order issued in the district is extended until August 11 midnight. Businesses and essential goods’ shops can be operated in the prohibitory order issued areas, it is stated.
