Nepalese Students In New Mexico To Organize 12th International Conference On Science And Technology

The conference invites experts on science and technology field as the key speakers. “We are very excited to welcome our distinguished guests and are very hopeful that our audience and diaspora families will get benefit from the talks of the expert guest speakers,” said Sharad Mahatara, President of Nepalese Students Association (NeSA).

By N24 Correspondent, LOS ANGELES:- The Nepalese Students Association (NeSA) in New Mexico State University (NMSU), Las Cruces, NM is going to organize a virtual 12th international conference with a theme “Science and Technology: Way Towards Sustainability”. The students and guests from several universities of the US and Nepal will present their research works in the program. The program starts at 8:00 am (MDT) on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

According to Nirajan Paudel, the Conference Director of NeSA, the program preparation is almost in the final stage. “For this year, we are having an online conference. We are happy that we have wide range of presenters and guests from all around the globe,” Paudel said. He added that the theme of the conference is suitable for the eternal progress of developing countries like Nepal, where planning of infrastructures demands the sustainability and wide visions that could address the future demands of Nepal and other countries for decades and centuries.

The conference invites Dr. Surya Raj Acharya as keynote speaker and Mahabir Pun as a special guest in the program. “We are very excited to welcome our distinguished guests and are very hopeful that our audience and diaspora families will get benefit from the talks of the expert guest speakers,” NeSA President Sharad Mahatara said.

The conference also invites Dr. Shambhu Ghimire, Dr. Lujendra Ojha, Er. Ram Raj Sharma, Dr. Marinne Karplus, Dr. Shyam Kattel, and Dr. Menuka Karki, among others, in the Guest Talk Series.

In the second session, the undergraduate, graduate students, and postdocs participate in the poster and talk presentation. “We encourage participants from all fields to participate in the conference and share their experience on how they have been using science and technology from their levels to contribute towards a sustainable world,” said Dr. Deepak Subedi, advisor of the organization.
