Nepal wins Bangladesh by 5-1 in SAFF U-16

KATHMAANDU: Host Nepali team secured their place in the finals of second SAFF U-16 Championships defeating Bangladesh by 5-1 in a game played at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Sujan Limbu scored the opener for Nepal. Bimal Gharti Magar and Anjan Bista, scoring one goal each, extended the lead to 3-0 until the half time. Limbu returned to score another goal in the second half, while the remaining was own goal.

However, Amir Tushar scored the only consolation goal for Bangladeshi team in the 65th minute, making use of the rare lapse in concentration from Nepali defenders.
