Nepal to launch vaccination campaign against Covid-19 from Wednesday

The country's Health Ministry said that the Covid-19 vaccine will be distributed from around 300 different hospitals in seven states and 77 districts and in Kathmandu Valley from more than 10 hospitals.

N24 Correspondent, KATHMANDU:- The Ministry of Health and Population plans to vaccinate health workers against corona infection from next Wednesday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the required amount of vaccine has been sent to all seven states. Under the first phase, frontline health workers will be vaccinated.

Vaccination has reached two states till Saturday. The vaccine sent to Biratnagar, Hetauda, ​​Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi will reach on Sunday.

The ministry plans to transport the vaccine from Hetauda and other districts to Biratnagar in eight districts as Kolchen is not functioning properly in Province No. 2.

The country’s Health Ministry said that the Covid-19 vaccine will be distributed from around 300 different hospitals in seven states and 77 districts and in Kathmandu Valley from more than 10 hospitals.

A coordinator has been appointed in each province to facilitate the vaccination campaign and management in coordination with the provincial health director. The hospital concerned has been designated as the vaccination center.

Meanwhile, the Indian government had provided one million doses of the Corona vaccine to Nepal.
