Nepal slams incumbent government for increasing confrontation

KATHMANDU: Senior Leader of the CPN (UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal has accused the incumbent government of increasing the risk of confrontation in the country.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Press Chautari Nepal Parsa, Nepal alleged that the ruling party UCPN (Maoist) pushed the country to a crisis in a greed for state power.

“The UCPN (Maoist) wants confrontation in the country and its recent extended meeting has proved it,” he said.

Former Prime Minister Nepal claimed that the Maoists are guided by ultra-leftist and totalitarian thoughts and stressed that the incumbent government should be immediately replaced by a new one to safeguard nationality and democracy.

He urged all the Nepali and democratic forces to unite to replace the Maoist-led government and thereby end existing political and constitutional crisis in the country.Chapter Chairman Shyam Banjara presided over the programme. RSS
