N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has inclined by 5.74 points to close at 1,561.27 points. While the Sensitive Index incline by 1.23 points to 309.57 points. A total of 8.9 million shares of 193 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 2.23 billion.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of six subgroups closed at red, while all remaining subgroups closed at green. Hotels increased by 17.27 points, Banking by 0.93 points, Finance by 9.62 points, Hydropwer by 55.71 points, Others by 8.94 points and Trading by 70.85 points. Likewise, Manufacturing and Processing decreased by 9.30 points, Development Banks by 1.67 points, Non-Life Insurance by 53.97 points, Life Insurance by 44.10 points, Mutual Funds by 0.01 points and Microfinance by 0.52 points.
Today, Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 147.86 million. Similarly, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited (UPPER) Rs 95.93 million, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) Rs 93.83 million, Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) Rs 89.26 million and Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) Rs 85.19 million.
Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Investors of Api Power Company Limited (API) gained 9.76 percent, Mountain Hydro Nepal Limited (MHNL) gained 9.73 percent and Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) and Himal Dolakha Hydropower Company Limited (HDHPC) gained 9.68 percent.
Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Investors of Citizens Mutual Fund-1 (CMF1) lost 2.12 percent, Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) lost 2.00 percent and Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) lost 1.98 percent.
