N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has increased by 3.26 points to close at 1,540.51 points. While the Sensitive Index up by 2.28 points to 306.24 points. A total of 8.8 million shares of 190 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 3.2 billion.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of seven subgroups closed at red while remaining five subgroups closed at green. Hotels decreased by 17.45 points, Life Insurance by 79.32 points, Manufacturing/processing by 38.05 points, Microfinance by 23.20 points, Non Life Insurance by 254.59 points, Others by 0.27 and Trading by 1.06 points. Likewise, Banking increased by 14.68 points, Development Banks by 20.98 points, Hydropower by 12.20 points, Finance by 6.94 points and Mutual funds by 0.04 points.
Today, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 204.31 million. Similarly, Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) Rs 128.44 million, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) Rs 125.17 million, Neco Life Insurance (NIL) Rs 113.48 million and Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) Rs 82.49 million.
Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Investors of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) gained 10 percent, NRN Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NLBSL) gained 9.98 percent and Reliance Life Insurance(RLI) gained 9.96 percent.
Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Investors of Rastriya Beema Company Limited Promoter Share (RBCLPO) lost 8.17 percent, Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL) lost 5.17 percent and IME General Insurance Limited (IGI) lost 4.10 percent.
