Nepal Share Market: NEPSE Up By 16.56 points, Closes At 1,537.25 points

According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has increased by 16.56 points to close at 1,537.25 points. While the Sensitive Index up by 2.59 points to 303.97 points.

N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: Despite of some technical error in the Online Trading System of NEPSE, the index have increased by double digits. Trading hours were changed to 2.15 pm to 5.15 pm for Sunday.

According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has increased by 16.56 points to close at 1,537.25 points. While the Sensitive Index up by 2.59 points to 303.97 points. A total of 7.2 million shares of 191 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 3.4 billion.

Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of only three subgroups closed at red while remaining nine subgroups closed at green. Finance decreased by 2.94 points, Mutual Funds by 0.08 points and Trading by 29.22 points. Likewise, Banking increased by 5.82 points, Development Banks by 1.36 points, Hydropower by 40.15 points, Manufacturing/Processing by 17.08 points, Life insurance by 283.88 points, Non Life Insurance by 325.15 points, Hotels by 57.96 points, Others by 0.87 points and Microfinance by 8.2 points.

Today, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 242.03 million. Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) Rs 193.08 million, Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) Rs 163.92 million, Shivam Cement Limited (SHIVM) Rs 105.69 million and Premier Insurance Company Limited (PIC) Rs 102.55 million.

Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Investors of Reliance Life Insurance Limited (RLI) gained 9.98 percent, NRN Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NLBSL) gained 9.95 percent and NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) gained 9.77 percent.

Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Investors of Nabil Balanced Fund – 2 (NBF2) lost 9.27 percent, Dibyashwari Hydropower Company Limited (DHPL) lost 5.17 percent and Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) lost 4.55 percent.
