Nepal Share Market: NEPSE Up By 1.51 points, Closes At 1425.32 points
N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has increased by 1.51 points to close at 1,425.32 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index increased by 0.02 points to 297.29 points. A total of 3.03 million shares of 188 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 951.96 million.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of six subgroup decreased while remaining six subgroups rose. Banking increased by 3.81 points, Hotels by 0.74 points, Life Insurance by 6.77 points, Manufacturing and processing by 0.31 points, Mutual fund by 0.09 points and Non-Life insurance by 39.08 points. Likewise, Development banks decreased by 10.83 points, Finance by 4.42 points, Hydropower by 3.34 points, Microfinance by 6.74 points, Other by 1.51 points and Trading by 4.93 points.
United Insurance Company Limited (UIC) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs. 62.07 million. Similarly, Nepal Reinsurance Company (NRIC) had Rs. 60.38 million and Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) had Rs. 47.83 million.
Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SDLBSL) gained 9.89 percent, Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) gained 9.26 percent and IME General Insurance Limited (IGI) gained 3.56 percent.
Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL) lost 6.45 percent, Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) lost 5.56 percent and Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) lost 4.35 percent.
