N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has increased by 7.35 points to close at 1,495.15 points. While the Sensitive Index up by 0.83 points to 299.47 points. A total of 4.2 million shares of 190 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 1.79 billion.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of only two subgroups closed at red while remaining ten subgroups closed at green. Banking decreased by 2.85 points and Hotels by 4.96 points. Likewise, Development Banks increased by 7.04 points, Hydropower by 21.10 points, Manufacturing/Processing by 80.64 points, Life insurance by 48.59 points, Non Life Insurance by 73.43 points, Mutual funds by 0.01 points, Others by 12.56 points, Microfinance by 19.16 points, Finance by 4.49 points and Trading by 81.30 points.
Today, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 278.54 million. Similarly, Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) Rs 122.29 million, Neco Insurance Limited (NIL) Rs 99.19 million, Shivam Cement Limited (SHIVM) Rs 82.85 million and Chilime Hydro power Company Limited (CHCL) Rs 82.62 million.
Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Investors of Salt Trading Corporation (STC) gained 9.99 percent, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) gained 9.93 percent and NRN Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NLBSL) gained 9.91 percent.
Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Investors of NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) lost 9.86 percent, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (PMHPL) lost 6.32 percent and Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) lost 5.97 percent.
