Nepal Share Market: NEPSE Rise By 5.68 points, Closes At 1,407.89 points

According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has risen by 5.68 points to close at 1,407.89 points. While the Sensitive Index decreased by 0.23 points to 289.77 points.

N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has risen by 5.68 points to close at 1,407.89 points. While the Sensitive Index decreased by 0.23 points to 289.77 points. A total of 4.11 million shares of 189 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 1.24 billion.

Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of five subgroup closes at red while remaining seven subgroups closes at green. Banking decreased by 0.47 points, Development Bank by 1.53 points, Finance by 0.54 points, hotels by 9.48 points and Mutual Funds by 0.03 points. Likewise, Hydropower increased by 1.66 points, Life Insurance by 54.06 points, Manufacturing/Processing by 44.40 points, Microfinance by 17.42 points, Non life Insurance by 50.86 points, Others by 13.47 points and Trading by 10.56 points.

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 166.09 million. Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) had Rs 84.23 million, Neco Insurance Limited (NIL) had Rs 72.52 million and Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) had Rs 63.93 million.

Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) gained 9.98 percent, Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SDLBSL) gained 9.91 percent and Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (PMHPL) gained 9.86 percent.

Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) lost 6.67 percent, Dibyashwari Hydropower Company Limited (DHPL) lost 3.77 percent and Laxmi Bank Limited (LBL) lost 3.42 percent.
