N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has inclined by 5.36 points to close at 1,541.40 points. While the Sensitive Index incline by 0.83 points to 305.48 points. A total of 6.39 million shares of 194 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 1.85 billion.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of only one subgroup closed at red while remaining eleven subgroups closed at green. Banking decreased by 4.58 points. Likewise, Hotels increased by 142.81 points, Life Insurance by 72.14 points, Mutual Funds by 0.51 points, Manufacturing/processing by 2.82 points, Microfinance by 4.87 points, Non Life Insurance by 42.37 points, Others by 1.48 points, Trading by 20.93 points, Development Banks by 2.08 points, Hydropower by 54.06 points and Finance by 1.13 points.
Today, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 96.19 million. Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) Rs 64.68 million, Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) Rs 56.29 million, Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) Rs 55.34 million and Sanima Mai Hydropower Limited (SHPC) Rs 53.89 million.
Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Investors of Barun Hydropower Company Limited (BARUN), Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) and Synergy Power Development Limited (SPDL) gained 10 percent.
Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Investors of NIC ASIA Balanced Fund (NICBF) lost 3.87 percent, Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF) lost 3.71 percent and Rastriya Beema Company Limited Promoter Share (RBCLPO) lost 2.93 percent.
