Nepal Share Market: NEPSE Drops By 6.61 points, Closes At 1423.81 points
N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has fallen by 6.61 points to close at 1,423.81 points. Similarly, the Sensitive Index decreased by 1.38 points to 297.27 points. A total of 3.63 million shares of 190 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 1.27 billion.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of only one subgroup decreased while remaining eleven subgroups rose. Mutual Funds increased by 0.02 points. While, Hydropower declined by 1.04 points, Hotels by 43.23, Banking by 6.54 points, Trade by 19.27 points, Development banks by 9.42 points, Finance by 0.60 points, Non-life insurance by 3.21 points, Manufacturing/production by 16.99 points, Others by 0.57 points, Microfinance by 21.58 points and Life insurance by 23.14 points.
Nepal Reinsurance Company (NRIC) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs. 121.60 million. Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) had Rs. 83.94 million and United Insurance Company Limited (UIC) had Rs. 47.67 million.
Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Ajob Insurance Limited (AIL) gained 9.94 percent, Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SDLBSL) gained 9.81 percent and Union Hydropower Company Limited (UNHPL) gained 8.77 percent.
Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Nepal Finance Limited (NFS) lost 9.80 percent, Kalika Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (KMCDB) lost 5.46 percent and Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) lost 5.45 percent.
