N24 Staff Writer, KATHMANDU: According to Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index has decreased by 12.17 points to close at 1,487.81 points. While the Sensitive Index down by 3.55 points to 298.64 points. A total of 5.6 million shares of 192 companies were traded, with the total turnover of Rs 2.16 billion.
Of the total 12 subgroups traded, shares of eight subgroups closed at red while remaining four subgroups closed at green. Banking decreased by 17.36 points, Development Banks by 15.85 points, Hydropower by 3.53 points, Manufacturing/Processing by 17.68 points, Hotels by 2.56 points, Life insurance by 92.54 points, Non Life Insurance by 46.76 points and Mutual funds by 0.05 points. Likewise, Others increased by 3.79 points, Microfinance by 1.15 points, Finance by 0.30 points and Trading by 22.96 points.
Today, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) is in the top position in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of Rs 284.04 million. Similarly, Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) Rs 156.30 million, Neco Insurance Limited (NIL) Rs 90.32 million, NMB Bank Limited Promoter Share (NMBRO) Rs 88.20 million and Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) Rs 82.49 million.
Similarly, today’s top three gainers were: Investors of NMB Bank Limited Promoter Share (NMBRO) gained 21.95 percent, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) gained 9.91 percent and Universal Power Company Limited (UPCL) gained 9.78 percent.
Likewise, today’s top three losers were: Investors of NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) lost 9.92 percent, Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) lost 6.85 percent and Himalayan Power Partner Limited (HPPL) lost 5.88 percent.
