KATHMANDU:- Chairperson of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, Narayanman Bijukchhe, has said that the Nepal Sambat should be promoted as the original calendar of the country.
At a Nepal Sambat wall calendar release programme organised by Nawa Samaj Nirman Library on the occasion of its 40th anniversary at Balambu of Chandragiri municipality-12, Chair Bijukchhe expressed the belief that Nepal Sambat would boost country’s pride if it could be promoted in national and international level.
He mentioned that costumes and culture of all castes and communities would help maintain social harmony and unity in the country.
Similarly, mayor of Chandragiri municipality, Ghanshyam Giri, stressed the need of publicizing the uniqueness of Nepal Sambat, established as National Sambat.
Chairperson of the Library, Sunil Maharjan, shared that the library has a role to provide various information and knowledge to locals of Chandragiri and its surrounding areas.
